Once dialing 8 and letting go of the
dial, it spins to the normal position. This action causes
the the dial to open and closes the line loop eight times.
This connector switch has been chosen by the other digits as the
one having access to one hundred terminals of which the called
subscriber is one. The calling subscriber dialing 8, and
the connector switch steps seize the terminals of a particular
line on the eighth level rather than to choose an idle trunk
from a group (hence no clicking sound), and it does not hunt
over this level.
